Rapa Nui

In December I went to Easter Island.  Located 3,500 kilometers off of the coast of Chile; Easter Island is the most remote populated island in the world (more than 2000 kilometers from the nearest populated island).

Rock painting at Ana Kai Tangata.

The crater of Valcano Rano Kau looking out to the sea.

Home of the Sea Bird Cult at Orango.

A local soccer game in Hanga Roa.

I joined my friends from Santiago to rent a very international car to cruise around the island.

A face in the ground at Vinapu.

The Moai factory at Rano Raraku.

Swimming at Anakena; watched over by the ancestors.

Sunrise at Ahu Tongariki.

Traditional dance and beautiful people.

Climbing to the top of Volcano Terevaka.

El Enladrillado

Over the long weekend Eva and I went to Talca and into the mountains to Reserva Nacional Altos de Lircay.  We did an overnight trek high into the mountains to El Enladrillado.
