Homesteading

We left Yellowstone over the Bear Tooth Pass and through Montana back into Wyoming. We slept the night at Devil's Tower. After that we moved on to the Black Hills and the Badlands before arriving in Sioux Falls.

Devil's Tower bright and early.

We ain't paying to park.

A friendly mountain goat.

A more accurate version of the road trip.

South Dakota, the Sun Flower State.

Last animal spotting just before heading out, a few mama and baby Bighorn Sheep.

America's trappiest tourist trap.

Yellowstone National Park

We spent three long days cruising around Yellowstone National Park. Camping clandestinely and fighting crowds to park at the sights really made me sleep like a rock most nights. That being said, Yellowstone has it all. Animals? Check. Hiking? Check Check. Hot tubs that supply their own farts? Check Check Check! It's a very special place and I am happy we got to make it such a highlight.

Go for a swim, lose your skin.

Indian Paintbrush, Wyoming's state flower. I paid attention in first grade.

The Lone Star Geyser. A hike worth making.

Ol' eagle eyes spotted her ally.

Dad can't even.

Mudpots that got the hots.

Eva slowly but surely let her cool side come out.

Rocky Mountain Pie in the Sky

We arrived in Denver, hung out with my main man Zane until we picked up the car to start our trip across the west. We hit up a number of places through out Colorado and Wyoming: Cheyenne, Rocky Mountain National Park, Laramie, Green River, Boar's Tusk, Lander, South Pass, and Grand Teton National Park.

Zane being scandalous.

Getting behind the wheels of a hot lightly used Nissan Rouge.

Sharyn and Guffy took us to Rocky Mountain NP.

A marmot friend.

My first home in Green River.

I climbed that rock as a little kid, it doesn't seem so scary now.

Our night sleeping in the car at Boar's Tusk.

This historical recreation town ain't big enough for the two of us.
