Mount Mkuru is a volcanic cone that makes up one of the foothills of Mount Meru. It is visible from Momella and because of its distinct shape it is a holy mountain for the Maasai who bring the boys to the top when they go through their Rite-of-Passage to become adult members of the community. The pictures start with a little bit of the park before the climb.
