Ernesto Guevara had a knack for living and dying in nice places

This is the first post of many of my month and a half long trip starting and ending in Santiago de Chile going through northern Argentina to Iguazu, continuing on through Paraguay, and ending with a trip through the altiplano of Bolivia. The whole trip, more or less, started with Cordoba, Argentina. A pretty (but very hot) city full of colleges and minas ricas. I would love to show you pictures, but some how I took zero pictures of Cordoba. What I did take pictures of was neighboring Alta Gracia, the childhood home of Che and some pretty buildings. I also visited his death site near Santa Cruz, Bolivia.

There was more to Alta Gracia then Ernesto 'Che' Guevara. The city also has an old Jesuit mission that constructed beautiful infrastructure for the city as well as an amazing barely visited church.

The area surrounding the city was a pleasant walk down a empty street. Without an advanced knowledge of catholic holidays I never knew it was El Dia de la Virgen (Virgin Mary's Day). So the city was a nice stroll in a quiet laid back Argentinian puebla.
