Ol' Dixie

For a break from winter between going home to see the fam in Iowa Eva and I did a cheeky trip to the part of the US that tried briefly not to be. First we went to New Orleans. Then into Cajun Country. Followed by a trip to the face of the New South, Atlanta. Finally to the old refined *cough* slavery *cough* antebellum South of Charleston and Savannah.

A quick night in Bavaria before heading to the South.

Riding the street car down Carrollton.

Gettin' at it!

Eva's first piece of king's cake, and right away got the baby.

Getting ready to celebrate Chewbakkus.

Brass-a-holics at Maison.

A little sun, a little economics journals.

A warm day for a Second Line parade.

Eva's favorite beer.

George Porter Jr. at the Maple Leaf

The Whitney Plantation at the German Coast.

Gettin some of dem crawdads.

Good old fashion Zydeco Dance.

Avery Island - Home of Tabasco

Deep in the Swamps of the Jean Lafitte National Historic Park.

At the Abita Brewery.

Down in the ATL meeting the newest addition to the fam.

Two men and a baby.
